Another Yuanwu enthusiast. Few things to point out (based on video foot commentary). Yuanwu is very flexible in his rotations, you can use him in a quickswap style too he doesn't need to use the full duration of his thunder infusion, just enough for your carries cooldowns to come back and with s3 his coordinated attacks adds a valuable chunk of damage with extremely low setup time. I don't think he's weak, his role isn't clear yet and if you compare him with mains DPS he will always feel lackluster.

Man, I've never had this much fun playing as the villain.

This man single fight was more epic than my entire ffxv campaign

The combat in FFXV is so good, I feel like people dont realize just how great it is because they just spam items whenever they go down. My first no item playthrough (which was also my first lvl1 playthrough) it just clicked. The combat in this game is phenomenal, but it's weighed down by having pretty much infinite items. TLDR: don't use items, it makes FFXV actually really good and fun. Though I gotta say, Type A control scheme: SUCKS, Type B good, Type C also sucks dick.

How do you absorb the attack

Still think this was a bad mess. The Kings of Yore did nothing useful through the entire game, then you end up fighting them (instead of them fighting demons or Ardyn) And then only show up at the end to do a kill steal. They should not have been bosses for Noctis and co, but every King of Yore should have been a boss in the Ardyn DLC instead.

Been trying to beat this on lvl 1 and initial equipment for week now. 1st phase managable, but for some reason can't get the midair warp-strike connected and those buffed bites hurts like hell.

I've been playing the game's combat for 2000 hours plus and i honestly find this impressive but still easy. it only gets REAL hard when you have no assension nodes unlocked. so you cant air dance and perfect phase. and of course with the addition of being lvl1, no food, no items, no magic, etc. oh and default gear, no accessories and lowest damage weapons. This is the hardest the game can get. and its possible, ive beat the game with this. it was painful but possible

Just spent 3 hours today failing lvl215 astos. and here he is being beat in underwear jack easily.

One thing I really love about this game is that you can go all out in crafting your perfect build, balancing affinity bonuses, command abilities, job passives, weapons and job abilities, or you can just... git gud. I don't know of many games that can match that feeling.
